In route to Liverpool this weekend to vend at the Syracuse Psychic Fair, Jess and I both observed an owl-immediately realizing this was going to be an amazing weekend. it is said that when an owl shows up in your life, listen and look out for the subtle signs that are around you. That being said, I can honestly say in awe..what a weekend. We helped a friend of ours Michael Phoenix Hart-whom was offering readings at the fair-by vending his products from The Eternal Temple (111 Madison Street, Oneida, NY). He was kind enough to allow both Jess and I to place some of our items for sale as well. The weekend was profitable for all in more ways than one.
Saturday morning began with a palm reader offering us to draw a lesson card for the day, mine was nourishment, hmmm.With the booth set up, making friends with our neighbors-tarot readers from readers row and doors opened promptly at 1100 in come the people. Filled with happiness and contentment, I attempted to engage in conversation with several of the guests browsing our booth, maybe in the attempts of making a sale but also to network and meet others in this like minded field.
It was incredible, I met so many beautiful beings who actually had messages for me, I truly felt nourished at the end of the day. I met a Yogi and raw foodist who during her travels had met an author dear to my heart-David Wolfe, she shared some of her stories that completely enlightened me. She also gave me some "items" to study as i continue my research. I then met a naturopathic doctor who partakes in the same passion as I do with health and wellness, naturally. Again furnishing me with guidance to light my way. Oh and Harry, a master Reiki..he circled my booth several times, stopping and adding his advice on life and teachers at each turn. One woman was completely amazed when she read my card and realized we were both RN's and now health coaches!
I even had the pleasure of meeting a natural foods shop owner who actually invited me to her shop to come and talk about her business! :)
I can not tell you how many of these guided souls came up to me, I tried to write down as much of my experiences as i could...Weather it was the owl or my lesson card or both... but several of these enlightened souls said to me "They are telling me to tell you this" or "write this down and look it up later" (the divine must of told them-better have her write it down or she will forget! haha) and I even had one pick up a piece of jewelry (that I am selling) and tell me "You need to wear this one"
The most extraordinary person I met.. a young girl who pulling on my shirt (about 5 or 6 years old) showing me a gem stone she picked off the table-asking "will this help me stop lying?" I smiled and said well lets see, we went over and read the meanings to the different gems on the table. I grabbed a sodalite stone which brings inner peace and placed it in her hand..Here you go sweetheart, this will help you. She gleamed from ear to ear, it brought tears to my eyes.
You know I did not leave without a 10 minute massage and a reading for my self! The massage was pure bliss and reading was encouraging. My reading was done by Sally, she had used regular playing cards and animal totem cards. I was encouraged to use all my senses, journal, concentrate on my breathe more during meditation and not to be afraid. I pulled the hummingbird card-which reminds me of my Uncle first of all and second reminds me that as I hover, I may need to step back before I step forward..or even hold still a bit.
That was reassuring as I have felt like that since the beginning of the year as I continue to follow my heart, living freely and creating my holistic business as guided by the divine to help others live a happier, healthier life.
